Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan Tuesday took oath as 48th Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) at the Governor's House. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered the oath to the new chief justice.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, members of the provincial cabinet and other dignitaries were also present at the oath-taking ceremony. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister congratulated Justice Sardar Shamim Khan and extended good wishes to him.
